Everything in the P&P club area is maintained by the members, so getting up on the layout is not out of the question. Members learn from each other sometimes, but more often from the school of hard knocks. Everything needs maintenance, so tearing apart something that isn’t working is a big part of club membership. The motto might be “well, I can’t break it more, can I?”
Each member brings a skill set that is unique, and sharing both train and life experiences is a big part of who we are at the P&P. For most members being able to share trains with the public is our reward for the time and effort needed to build and maintain a train layout. We regard the layout as a forum where everyone, members and guests, can share their stories about the trains we love.
